eLECTIONS State Teaching Standards for Social Studies

Cable in the Clasroom has provided links to middle school and high school civics/government content standards for each of the fifty one (51) United States, including the District of Columbia. As content standards links may be periodically updated, CIC has also provided links to each state department of education homepage. In most states, content standards are accessible through a search engine provided on the homepage.

The state content standards will faciliate the integration of eLECTIONS into the civics/government core curriculum. These standards are general expectations of what students should know and be able to do in civics/government that relate broadly to the eLECTIONS. The standards provide teachers with creative opportunities to use eLECTIONS in many dimensions of social studies/government teaching and learning.
